10:30-when we want to go to the pub
Vikings/Invasions Old friends new enemies AND legendary units allowed
Welcome, friends, to Walthamstow. These are the lands of Waltheof, Earl of Northumbria. They are the least of his possessions - the hamlet of Wilcumstowe, the market of Leituna, the surprisingly wealthy parish of St Mary - but they are important. The Bastard has taken the country, and Waltheof….. well. Waltheof is in the north, besieging York with some new, danish friends who have promised him the crown. His lands in the Beacontree hundred hold the only paths across the marshes from Westmynstre to the Bishoprics and trading ports of Essex. He has left men, and money, to defend the crossings of the Lea.
The Bastard knows this land, and its importance, all too well. Waltheof is married to his niece, Countess Judith, who is tasked with retaking the Beacontree Hundred, while he journeys to Harry the north. She too has men, and money.
Blood will be spilt in the marshes of the Lea, as rival armies clash to restore the liberty of Beacontree, or see the Norman yoke nailed to the Saxon neck!
We’ll be fighting 4 (yes, 4!) rounds of scenario based saga over boards loosely themed to the local area in two teams (with some secret shenanigans), Team Judith and Team Waltheof.
You will need:
6 point Saga army from either invasions or Vikings which must include 1 point of mercenaries available to your faction

There will be terrain from the book of battles
